WHNL Beginning of Season Charity Tournament - Saturday 9th September.

Theme/Fancy dress:
We haven’t had a theme/fancy dress for a few years now. This year the theme will be colours - Each team should choose a colour that is the same letter or connected to their team name - i.e. Lasers - Lilac, Orbits - Orange, Galaxies - Green etc. There will be a prize for the best-dressed team.
Raffle & Cake Sale:
Each team are responsible for providing a raffle prize, Please can you hand these in at the beginning of the day, when registering & collecting your information pack. There will be cakes on sale during the event, please share with your team for their information.
Tournament Information:
Matches will start promptly at 8:50am - Please ensure that your team and umpires are ready and on the court.
Registration will be open from 8.15am-8.30am.
There will be a captains briefing at 8:30am.
The format will be versatility and umpires will hand out bibs prior to the start, please bring along a bag to put them in. If making changes at half time, please have a second bag of bibs and ask the umpire to quickly re-hand the bibs out. Please remember that this is a charity tournament and manipulating half-time changes into natural positions is not in the spirit of the day.
Please ensure you turn up for your matches promptly to ensure that the bibs are handed out in time for the start of the next round.
Each team are responsible for providing an umpire for each of their games, the umpiring schedule is within the attachment. Other than round 1, you will always provide an umpire for the court after you have played on it.
Scorecards will be given to all teams at registration. These will be for the games you are responsible for umpiring/providing an umpire for.
We require umpires to stay to umpire the semi-finals & finals, please can you let us know if you are happy to help out or your umpire it.
Facilities etc
With so many people coming at the same time please consider carpooling as parking is often difficult and leave plenty of time to arrive.
Parking is also available for a limited time at Gosling Stadium and at Stanborough Park. Please ensure you observe all local parking restrictions and charges.
